Team USA women’s basketball wins gold in dramatic Olympic final, 67-66

 The U.S. women’s basketball team was facing a hostile crowd and a feisty opponent in Paris on Sunday, but it survived its biggest challenge of this tournament. Barely. Some gritty play down the stretch gave the U.S. a 67-66 win.

A Gabby Williams jumper at the buzzer for France was ruled a two-pointer rather than a three-pointer that would have forced overtime. That’s 61 straight Olympic wins for the U.S. women, and eight straight gold medals.
