 It’s that time of year again for music lovers—when Spotify Wrapped puts your top songs and artists in the spotlight for all to see. Last year, the highly anticipated feature arrived in late November, so when can users expect their Spotify Wrapped in 2024? Here’s everything to know so far.

Spotify Wrapped launched in 2015 with the introduction of the Year in Music feature, offering users a glimpse into their top artists and listening habits from the past year. The feature was rebranded as “Spotify Wrapped” in 2016 and has grown increasingly popular and detailed ever since.

Over the years, Spotify Wrapped has expanded to include fun facts about users’ data, such as the astrological signs of their favorite artists and the color of their music aura. In 2023, Spotify added an new element by pairing listeners with a "Sound Town," a city that reflects their musical preferences and artist affinities. One of the most-used aspects of the year-end feature is the ability to share your results on social media.

As of Dec. 3, Spotify Wrapped has yet to roll out, making this year’s release a bit later than usual. For example, Spotify Wrapped 2023 launched on Nov. 29, the 2022 edition dropped on Nov. 30, and the 2021 and 2020 versions debuted on Dec. 1.

Don’t worry, though—there are plenty of hints online and from the company itself suggesting that Spotify Wrapped is just around the corner. Here’s what to know about the potential release date and how to ensure you’re ready to dive into your stats.

How Can You Get Your Spotify Wrapped 2024?

All you need to access your 2024 Spotify Wrapped is a Spotify account and a few hours of listening. To ensure the best experience, make sure your app is up to date, the company wrote in a Nov. 27 news release.

“If your phone isn’t set to automatically update the app and you haven’t manually updated it in a while, you may be missing out on some pretty great features,” the platform continued. “An up-to-date app means you’re getting a fully optimized Wrapped experience. When the time comes for the big reveal of your personalized 2024 listening trends, you want to be ready."

How Long Does Spotify Wrapped 2024 Collect Listening Data?

Spotify recently clarified the confusion surrounding the cutoff date for Spotify Wrapped, confirming that data collection does not end on Oct. 31. On Halloween 2024, the company shared a jack-o'-lantern graphic on X with the message: "Spotify Wrapped doesn't stop counting on October 31st."

Although the exact cutoff date remains unknown, it is now clear that November is partially included in the stats.

Brian Thompson was walking toward the New York Hilton Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, dressed in a suit and tie, to attend UnitedHealthcare’s annual investor conference being held in the ballroom.

A gunman, who investigators tell CNN was masked in the sub-freezing temperatures, waited for about 10 minutes before Thompson’s arrival, before opening fire from 20 feet away shooting multiple times, striking Thompson.

The gunman fled, cutting through an alleyway and hopping on to a bicycle, the official told CNN. Investigators are continuing to canvas the area. Police currently believe that the suspect fled into Central Park.

The 50-year-old executive was shot in the chest. Responding emergency workers took him to Mount Sinai West in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead, according to the NYPD.

“We are deeply saddened by this morning’s events in the area and our thoughts are with all affected by the tragedy. Additional questions should be directed to the New York Police Department,” a New York Hilton Midtown spokesperson told CNN.

Details on the circumstances are not immediately clear, but investigators say it appears to be a targeted shooting. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, the NYPD said. Police are expected to provide a briefing on the incident later this morning.

CNN has reached out to UnitedHealthcare for comment.

Thompson was named chief executive officer for UnitedHealthcare in April 2021. UnitedHealthcare is part of UnitedHealth Group, ranked fifth in the Fortune 500, according to the company.

UnitedHealthcare’s parent company, UnitedHealth Group, abruptly ended its scheduled conference Wednesday morning, citing “a very serious medical situation with one of our team members.” The company did not comment further.
