Knox County Severe Thunderstorm Warning canceled; Severe weather potential continues

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Knox County has been canceled.

KCAU 9 will continue to monitor the weather system moving through the Siouxland region as more severe weather is likely later today.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for western parts of Knox County.

According to the National Weather Service, western parts of Knox County will be in a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 10:30 a.m.

NWS says a severe storm was located near Verigre just before 10 a.m. Areas such as Niobrara, Verdel, and Niobrara State Park may be affected.

Quarter-size hail is expected and vehicles left outdoors may be damaged.
