On Wednesday, Angelina Jolie made her entrance at the Santa Barbara Film Festival wearing an angelic all-white ensemble. Tonight, the Maria actress went for another ethereal ensemble. Jolie arrived at the Critics Choice Awards in a transparent nude dress. She wore her blonde hair down and added a statement red lip.

Of Callas, Jolie said, “The more I learned about Maria, the more I felt she deserved empathy and understanding. In those last years of her life, when she was so criticized and so alone, my goal was for the audience to please give her life a second look. Give her one more moment.”

Are Playstation’s Servers Still Down?

Yes. PlayStation’s status updates webpage says servers are still down. Frustrated gamers on social media platforms including Reddit and X say the servers still aren’t back, as Reddit users have made posts every hour lamenting that they still can’t play games. Some gamers told the BBC the outage is inconvenient because this weekend, a beta version of the anticipated game Monster Hunter Wild is available and Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is offering a double XP weekend.

What Games Are Impacted?

Some popular games available on PlayStation servers that are impacted include Fortnite, Call of Duty, Roblox and Marvel Rivals. Outage reports for all of these games spiked on DownDetector at the same time PlayStation’s servers appeared to go down.

 U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor said her conservative colleagues are risking the court's legitmacy with decisions affording President Donald Trump broad immunity and overturning longstanding precedents on other issues.

In her first public comments since Trump began his second term in the White House, Sotomayor told a Kentucky audience that the court has gone too far, too fast on a range of issues. She cited the Trump case during a lengthy response to a question about sagging public confidence in the court.

Sotomayor issued a stinging dissent in that case, and she didn't hold back Wednesday night in discussing public perceptions of the court following its historic 6-3 decision on the immunity question. The court’s conservative majority, with three justices appointed by Trump in his first term, ruled for the first time that former presidents have broad immunity from prosecution.

If we as a court go so much further ahead of people, our legitimacy is going to be questioned," Sotomayor said during the event in Louisville. “I think the immunity case is one of those situations. I don’t think that Americans have accepted that anyone should be above the law in America. Our equality as people was the foundation of our society and of our constitution.”

In her dissent last year, which she read aloud in the courtroom, Sotomayor said the court's majority allowed a president to become a “king above the law” in its ruling that limited the scope of criminal charges against Trump for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol and efforts to overturn the election.

She renewed her objections while discussing the case to the Louisville audience.

“Our constitution itself has provisions not exempting the president from criminal activity after an impeachment,” she said. "So I had a hard time with the immunity case. And if we continue going in directions that the public is going to find hard to understand, we’re placing the court at risk.”

 An arrest has been made in connection with the death of Kansas City sports reporter Adan Manzano while he was in New Orleans to cover Super Bowl LIX.

Manzano, 27, was found dead in his hotel room in Kenner, Louisiana, on Wednesday. Thursday, the Kenner Police Department said that Danette Colbert of Slidell, Louisiana, had been arrested after she was found allegedly using Manzano’s credit card at multiple stores. She was also allegedly seen leaving his hotel room on surveillance footage.

The station also reported that the coroner’s office said there were “no obvious signs of trauma” as it investigates Manzano’s cause of death.

Manzano worked for Telemundo Kansas City. In a statement on Wednesday, the station lauded his professionalism and work ethic.

Manzano, according to Fox 4 in Kansas City, was originally from Mexico City. He moved to Topeka, Kansas, in 2018 and graduated from Kansas State. He’s been with Telemundo Kansas City since 2021 and was preparing to cover his third Super Bowl with the station.

Manzano was also covering the game for Tico Sports and was a member of their Spanish broadcast team.

Manzano is survived by his daughter, Eleanor. His wife, Ashleigh, was killed in a car crash last April, per Fox 4.

 Jordon Hudson is setting the record straight on her blinding red carpet bling.

On Friday, Feb. 7, Hudson, 24, shut down rumors that she was wearing one of her 72-year-old boyfriend Bill Belichick's eight Super Bowl rings at the NFL Honors awards show ahead of the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans on Thursday, Feb. 6.

Sharing a picture of the couple posted on the National Football League’s Instagram page, Hudson clarified that she was wearing her BSU Cheerleading National Championship ring.

“Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson on the red carpet rocking Bill’s Super Bowl rings 💍,” the NFL wrote in their caption alongside a photo of the couple and a second slide that zoomed into their rings.

Reposting on her Instagram Stories, the former cheerleader tagged BSU Cheerleading’s Instagram page. 

Hudson was a cheerleader during her time at Bridgewater State University. In 2021, she and her team were NCA Collegiate Champions. She also joined the East Celebrity Elite cheer squad after college and went on to the World Championships after competing in February 2024.

Posing on the red carpet on Thursday, Hudson and the former New England Patriots coach displayed a lot of bling on their hands.

In addition to her cheerleading National Championship ring, Hudson wore a pink diamond ring that sparked speculation that the pair might be engaged. Unlike her Championship ring, the star made no mention of the diamond on that finger on her Instagram Stories. Belichick also wore his Super Bowl rings on his fingers.

Hudson sported a super-risqué silver cutout dress that featured a sequin bra top and skirt with a thigh-high slit and long train.

 Kanye West’s wife Bianca Censori will reportedly not face legal action for her nude look that shocked the Grammys.

The controversial rapper, 47, and the Australian model, 30, arrived on the red carpet together at the Crypto.com arena dressed in all black.

However, Censori later dropped her black feather coat in front of photographers to reveal a sheer mini-dress.

According to TMZ, LAPD sources confirmed that there will be no legal fallout from the stunt as the Grammy Awards is a private event and no one from the show contacted police to make a complaint.

In a statement to Page Six, LA-based lawyer Andrea Oguntula further clarified the legal position: “While Ms. Censori’s outfit undoubtedly pushed the envelope, a charge of indecent exposure in California requires willful public exposure of one’s genitals with the specific intent to offend or sexually arouse.

However, Censori’s outfit may have been in violation of broadcast dress codes. In 2013, Deadline reported that exposed “breasts, buttocks [and] genitals” are banned at the Grammys, per a "Standard and Practice Wardrobe Advisory” instated by television network CBS. The document states that “buttocks and female breasts” must be "adequately covered” in order to be broadcast.

The Federal Communications Commission, which governs rules around US television broadcasts, states in their own advisory that obscene content is not protected by the First Amendment and is “prohibited on cable, satellite and broadcast TV and radio." Those rules prevented CBS and other networks hosting Grammys red carpet shows from airing the stunt.

While some early reports claimed that West and Censori had been “escorted out” of the Grammys, it later emerged that the couple had simply left the event after walking the red carpet.

 Renowned photographer Kate Simon has reflected on some of her memories working with Bob Marley, on what would have marked his 80th birthday.

Simon enjoyed a close friendship with the reggae icon, and shot the famous picture used as the artwork for his 1978 album with The Wailers, Kaya.

Speaking to The Independent, Simon recalled spending weeks at a time on the road with the “Buffalo Soldier” star, who died from cancer in 1981, aged 36.

I remember everything about working with Bob,” she said. “But I would say my strongest memories are being with him riding his bike and when he was playing soccer, or visiting him at his house on Oakley street in London.”

Marley was “the best performer” she had ever seen, she said: “He was just unbelievable. So my memories are split between those normal moments and then him as the big rock star.”

Her favourite memory, though, was visiting Marley at his home at 56 Hope Road in Kingston, Jamaica, shortly after he performed his One Love Peace concert and joined hands with political rivals Michael Manley and Edward Seaga, at a time of great unrest.

“I went to see him the day after,” Simon said, “and being with him and taking his photograph then, I saw how rewarded he felt – he felt so good that he had managed to make that happen.

“That's my best memory of Bob because he had this Coptic cross around his neck, and he picked it up so it was focused on the camera. He really felt that there was a Jah-inspired victory for him – he had brought these two warring parties together.

“It was really incredible. I was at that concert, and so the day after, to see him feel like he had really achieved that was a great memory.”
